Fantastic audio interview with Mike, I fully agree with the previous comments that it makes ones head go spinning. It seems that Mike is reinforcing several key points about IM products which have always been important, Quality and Authority are critical to long term success. What is really new is the evolution and importance of Web 2.0 / and social networking as a viable marketing technology. I was especially interested to hear him mention shorten attention spans, the use of “micro video” and the convergence or overlap between off line and online marketing with a combination of digital and physical products. This I feel may be the single biggest trend and perhaps the most critically important to IM products over all. In addition, the idea that we need to think about reaching our target audience via all possible methods, including mobile devices. Once again thanks for posting this great interview.
