As usual, Mike is “right on.” Thanks for making this available in the short version for those of us who want to knowm but have limited attention spans.

Mike Filsaime made some very important point about the traces you leave even if you are just commenting on a blog like this one. One should carefully think about what to write since it will follow you forever.
Mike’s reference to a football team was great. Indeed you cannot be an expert on all positions but you have got to understand the game.
The tip not to buy anything new unless you can clearly see that it will take you faster to your goals really hit home (pardon - pun not intended).

The football game example is good, we can become good at one thing and we need to understand the whole game, but often as a beginner we try to understand everything and become overloaded. First we need to learn how to focus. Sometimes that is the hardest thing to do.
